Two forces acting on the rocket are the gravitational force and friction of the air in the atmosphere. The gravitational force pulls the rocket towards the earth and the friction force also opposes the motion of the rocket.

As the rocket leaves the laundry pad, the hot gasses produced by the burning of fuel rush out of a nosel at the bottom at a very high speed. The equal and opposite reaction forces of the downward going gasses pushes the rocket upward with a great speed. Thus, the two forces acting on the rocket here are action and reaction forces.
