best_answer

Given, Mass of water = 20 g

The Molecular mass of the water  = 2 * Mass of Hydrogen + Mass of Oxygen

                                                      = 2 * 1 + 16

                                                      =  18 g.

Now, Number of moles :

=\frac{given\:mass}{molar\:mass}=\frac{20}{18}=1.11\:moles

(ATOMIC MASS OF H2O =1*2+16=18u)

n=molar mass/molecular mass (n=m/M)

n=20/18

therefore, n=1.11 moles
