In DC generator, we have two split rings also known as commutator to prevent the change in direction of the current. while in AC, we want the direction to be changed so we use normal slip rings to transfer current from inside of the generator to outside of the generator. This is the main difference between the AC generator and the DC generator.

Hence, option (d) is the correct option.
