BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2017 is being conducted in online mode from May 16, at 47 exam centre across India and in Dubai. The conducting authority, BITS Pilani is conducting BITSAT for admission to around 2,000 undergraduate engineering seats in 08 B.E. courses offered by three campuses of BITS, Pilani located at Pilai, Goa, Hyderabad. The last date for BITSAT 2017 examination is May 30.
BITSAT question booklet consists of 150 objective type questions from four sections – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning. Candidates must choose one correct answer out of 04 given options. As per the marking scheme under BITSAT exam centre, for each correct answer, 03 marks will be allotted, whereas, for every incorrect answer, 01 mark will be deducted. The exam will be of 03 hours duration.
BITSAT 2017 is being held in 46 exam centres across India and 01 centre in Dubai. Candidates had to select a BITSAT exam centre and city, while booking a slot. BITS Pilani has allotted the exam centres to the candidates. It is mandatory to check the instructions mentioned in admit card before reporting at exam centres.
The result of BITSAT 2017 will be announced on July 01, along with admit list and wait list. The result will be displayed to candidates after the completion of exam as the number of correct and incorrect answers. Candidates can also download BITSAT result later by logging in.
BITSAT admit list will be published for the candidates shortlisted for counselling round-I. Interested candidates have to fill application form indicating their 12th marks and preferences of programmes and campuses. The wait list will indicate candidates who have not been selected for admission and can participate in subsequent round.
Based on opening and closing rank, candidates will be called for BITSAT 2017 counselling. Candidates securing equal to or more than closing rank will be allowed for counselling process. After filling the application form, candidates have to report at counselling venue as per their rank for seat allotment and document verification. Admission will be granted to candidates on the basis of their rank, preferences of courses and campuses and availability of seats and other factors.
