Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the application form of JEE Main 2018 on December 1. Candidates are required to apply online for JEE Main 2018.The last date to fill JEE Main application form is January 2. Applicants can pay their examination fees till January 3, 2018. The pen and paper based test of JEE Main 2018 will be conducted on April 8 while the computer based test is likely to be conducted on April 14 and 15.
Candidates applying for JEE Main 2018 have to enter their Aadhaar number at the time of filling the application form. However, candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya have to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or other valid government identity number. JEE Main application form 2018 can be filled in five steps – Registration, Filling up of application form, Uploading scanned images, paying the application fee and taking printout of confirmation page.
Candidates have to fulfil three JEE Main eligibility criteria 2018. First, Indian, OCI, PIO, Foreign candidates can appear for the exam. Second, the upper age limit for unreserved category is 25 years while that for reserved category is 30 years. Third, candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examinationwith Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects. However, those appearing in 2018 are also eligible to appear for JEE Main 2018. There is a capping in the number of attempts candidates can avail a maximum number of 3 attempts.
CBSE is yet to announce the dates of admit card, answer key and result. JEE Main is conducted for admission to around 24,000 seats in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 GFTIs.
