and Root mean square velocity=V_{rms}= \sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M}}

 

when rms speed of gas molecules get doubled.

means new temperature becomes four times.

so new energy will becomes four times.

So U_{new}=\frac{nfR(4t)}{2}
