The number of beats heard at C is 6. when A moves away from C with speed 4m/s, the number of beats heard at C is 18. The speed of sound is 340m/s. The frequency of the source at B is :

Let frequency of source B=f

In 1st case,

\frac{f_{o} V}{V-4}-f=6

In 2nd case,

f-\frac{f_{0} V}{V+4}=100

 

Solving (i) and (ii), we get

            f=512 Hz
