Given :

x=2t

y=5t^2

\\ \text{The horizontal velocity of the projectile remains constant throughout the journey.} \\ \text{Since the body is projected horizontally, the initial velocity will be the same as the horizontal velocity at any point.}

     V_x=\frac{dx}{dt}=2m/s

   \therefore \text{Horizontal velocity} =2 \ m/s

   initial velocity is 2 m/s horzontally
