Accelration in SHM -

y=Acos(\omega t+\phi )

A = \frac{dV}{dt} =- a\omega ^{2}\cos (\omega t+\phi )

A = -\omega ^{2}y    [Formula]

 In this case when spring is compressed means distance=0, acceleration has maximum value

When spring is relaxed means distance= maximum(as long as the spring is compressed), acceleration has zero value.
