@Mannika (this not exact step. just a way of thinking)

or if you consider centre to be origin the shift in centre of mass due to system 1 is same as that of system 3 because from system 1 cut portion is on left and for system 2 two of the cut portion is on left and one on right so equalent will be one from left.

for second system two cut portions are removed from left
