As we learned

\beta_{-} - decay -

In this decay alpha neutrons first breaks down into a protons and an electrons.Then the electron is emitted from the nucleus. While the proton stay inside the nucleus. The resulting nucleus has one more and proton and one less neutron.

- wherein

_{Z}^{A}x\rightarrow _{Z+1}^{A}y+e^{-}

In \beta decay neutron is connected to a proton  and the process treats an electron and an antineutrino .
