\omega = \frac{\mu _{v}-\mu _{r}}{\mu _{y}-1}

- wherein

\mu _{v} = Refractive index of violet

\mu _{r}= Refractive index of red

\mu _{y}= Refractive index of yellow

= \frac{\mu_{v}+\mu_{r}}{2}

 

 w= \frac{\mu_{v}-\mu_{r}}{\mu _{y}-1}

\mu _{y}= \frac{\mu_{v}+\mu_{r}}{2}=1.5187

\therefore w=\frac{1.523-1.5145}{1.5187-1}=0.1639
