As we have learnt,

 

Displacement in nth second for freely falling body -

h_{n}= \frac{g}{2}\left ( 2n-1 \right )
 

- wherein

\\*u=0\\* a=g\left ( Acceleration \: due\: to \: gravity \right )

n= nth second

 

 Distance travelled during nth second is 

s_n = \frac{1}{2} g (2n-1)

For n = 3

s_3 = \frac{1}{2} g (2\times 3-1) = 25 m

 

 

Displacement in nth second for freely falling body -

h_{n}= \frac{g}{2}\left ( 2n-1 \right )
