  • I am unable to simplify this complex number question, I rationalised .

\left ({1+i}/{1-i} \right )^x{} = 1

after rationalisation

((1+i)^{^{2}}/2)^{x} = 1

we have to tell x value in terms on n where n is any positive integer

\left [ { (1+i)(1+i) \right \}/\left \{ (1-i)(1+i) \right \}\right ]^x

after rationalisation 
  (1+i)^2= 1^2+i^2+2(1)(i)= 1+(-1)+2i = 2i
   2i/2=i
  Hence :
               i^x=1
               i^4=1
              &x=4n where 'n' is any positive integer.
