As we have learned

Square Matrix -

Number of rows = Number of columns  

- wherein

A  m\times n  matrix Where  m = n

 

 

 

C _{a*5}..and .. B  is of order 2*2

Thus  C _{a\times 5}\times D_{5\times 2} = A _{2\times 2} 

Thus a = 2 ; 

and D has order 5 x 2 

in order to get a square matrix
