  • Option 1)

    all E_c,E_g, E_v  decrease

  • Option 2)

    all E_c,E_g, E_v  increase

  • Option 3)

    E_c,\, \, and\, \, E_v\, \, increase,but\, E_g\, \, decreases

As we have learnt,

Number of electrons or holes -

n_{e}= n_{\lambda }= AT^{3/2}e^{-Eg /2KT}

- wherein

Eg = Energy gap

K = Boltzmann Constant

T = Temperature in kelvin

On increasing temperature,  the number of current carried increases

 As lattice constant of semiconductor decreases, then Ec and Ev decrease but Eg increases

Option 1)

all E_c,E_g, E_v  decrease

Option 2)

all E_c,E_g, E_v  increase

Option 3)
