As we learn

Brackett Series -

\frac{1}{\lambda }= R\left ( \frac{1}{4^{2}}- \frac{1}{n^{2}} \right )

\left ( infrared \right )

- wherein

n=5,6,7-----

When electron jump from higher orbital to n=4 energy level

 \frac{1}{\lambda }=R\left ( \frac{1}{4^{2}}-\frac{1}{n^{2}} \right )=R\left ( \frac{1}{16}-\frac{1}{36} \right )

   or         \lambda= \frac{144}{5R}

                 \lambda= \frac{144}{5}\times 91nm=2630nm
