(i) Atomic size: Smaller the size of an atom, greater is the electronegativity.

(ii) Type of hybridisation: The electronegativity increases with the increase in s-character in the orbitals.

(iii) Charge on ion: The cation always has a greater electronegativity than the anion. More the positive charge more is electronegativity.
