Equivalent mass -

It is equal to the molecular or atomic mass divided by the number of electrons involved in the reaction per molecule, atom or ion.

e.g. 2H_{2}O\:+\:2e^{-}\rightarrow H_{2}\:+\:2OH^{-}

2 Faraday of electricity is used to produce one mole of gas 

\therefore    Eq. Mass of hydrogen=\frac{2.016}{2}=1.008

 

 \\*Ag^+ + e^- \rightarrow Ag \\*Cu^{2+} + 2e^- \rightarrow Cu \\*Au^{3+} + 3e^- \rightarrow Au

Therefore 3 faraday electricity will deposite 3 moles of Ag, \frac{3}{2} moles of Cu and 1 of Au
