Answers (1)

best_answer

In the electrolysis of water, usually Ni or Pt electrodes are used

During the electrolysis, H_2 is liberated at cathode and O_2 is liberated at anode.

Ba(OH)_2  is preferred over NaOH as an electrolyte because if any CO_2  is absorbed from the atmosphere, BaCO_3 formed settles down on account of its less solubility.

Therefore, option(4) is correct.
