NEET 2021: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance exam to get admission into MBBS/BDS programs in various government colleges, semi-government colleges, and private colleges. The details of the NEET 2021 exam like important dates & events, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, etc are provided in this article. NEET is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) a formulated body under MHRD once every year. Earlier the different institutes like AIIMS and PGIMER used to conduct separate medical entrance exam but from the academic year, 2020-21 NEET is a centralized medical entrance exam to get admission in an undergraduate medical programme. It is expected that the NEET 2021 exam will be held in May 2021 through pen and paper mode all over India.
NEET paper is divided into three sections Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The total number of questions will be 180 that has to complete in 3 hours. You will get +4 marks for every right answer, and -1 marks for every wrong answer. Syllabus of NEET covers the topics CBSE class 11 and CBSE class 12 science subjects. CBSE has 30% reduced syllabus for the academic year 2020-21 due to COVID-19, so it is intensifying the possibility of the syllabus reduction for NEET 2021 as well. However, there is no notification from NTA regarding the syllabus reduction for NEET 2021.

The authority will release the NEET 2021 application form in the first week of December 2020 through the online mode. All the candidates need to fill the application form through online mode only, no offline forms will be accepted by the exam conducting authority i.e. NTA. The application form will be available on the official website along with the official brochure. Below are the steps to fill the Online NEET 2021 application form:
Step- 1: Go to the official website of NEET NTA and click on the "NEET 2021 Application form" button.
Step-2: Register yourself with a unique email ID & phone no., fill all the required information like name, mother's name, father's name, gender, date of birth, etc.
Step-3: After successful registration, fill the application form of NEET 2021 and submit personal details, academic details, and choice of the centre.
Step-4: Review the application form click on the ''Final Submission" button.
Step-5: Upload scanned photograph and signature in a prescribed manner.
Step-6: Make payment via net banking, debit card/credit card or SBI offline challan and submit the form.
Step-7: After submitting all the required details download the application form and take a printout of the application form for future reference.

NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The authority will release the notification related to NEET 2021 eligibility criteria along with NEET 2021 Application form. The common eligibility criteria for the NEET 2021 exam is mentioned below:

NEET 2021 will be conducted on pen and paper mode where you have to fill the OMR sheet with a black or blue ballpoint pen. There will a total of 180 questions that you have to complete in 3 hours ( 180 minutes). The maximum marks for the exam are 720 marks. For every right question, you will get +4 marks & for every wrong answer, you will get -1 mark. The paper will be divided into three sections i.e. physics, chemistry, and biology. There will be 45 questions from physics, 45 questions from chemistry, and 90 questions from biology in the paper. The weightage of zoology and botany is equal i.e. you will get 45 questions from zoology and 45 questions from botany in the biology section.
