In case of adiabatic change

\mathrm{P V^\gamma =\text { constant with } P V=\mu R T }

\mathrm{\text { so that } T_1 V_1 ^\gamma =T_2 V_2 ^\gamma-1 }

\mathrm{\text { i.e. } \quad 300 \times V^{2 / 3}=T(2 V)^{2 / 3} \text { or } T=300 /(2)^{2 / 3}=189 \mathrm{~K}}
