Variation of Density with Temperature -

\rho=\frac{\rho}{(1+\gamma \Delta \theta)}=\rho(1-\gamma \Delta \theta)

- wherein

\Delta \theta=Change in temperature

 

 

 

\rho = \rho _{0}\left ( 1-\gamma \Delta T \right )\: or\Delta \rho = \rho \cdot \gamma \Delta T

or \gamma = \frac{\Delta \rho }{\rho \Delta T}\: \: or \: \alpha = \frac{\gamma }{3}= \frac{\Delta \rho }{3\rho \Delta T}

\alpha = \frac{10-9.7}{3\times 10\times \left ( 100-0 \right )}= (3/3)\times 10^{-4} /{ }^{0} \mathrm{C}

=10^{-4} /{ }^{0} \mathrm{C}
