\mathrm{V}_1 and \mathrm{V}_2 are equal and out of phase with each other and thus get cancelled.
Thus \mathrm{V}_3=220 \mathrm{~V} and \mathrm{i}=\frac{220}{100}=2.2 \mathrm{~A}
