As we have learned,
The work done in the reversible isothermal process is \mathrm{W = -2.303nRT log(V_2/V_1)}
We have,

n = 1
\mathrm{T = 310K}
\mathrm{V_1 = 5L}
\mathrm{V_2 = 3L}
\mathrm{R = 8.314 J/mol.K}
Putting all the values we get,
\mathrm{W = -2.303 \times 1\times 8.314\times 310\times log(\frac{3}{5})= 1316 J}

\therefore \mathrm{W = 1.316\ kJ}
