As we have already discussed in Evidence of Organic Evolution: Paleontological Evidence -

 

 The first preserved fossil remains were found of  Archaeopteryx. It was discovered in 1861. Archaeopteryx contains morphological traits similar to dinosaurian traits such as scales on the neck, a jointed tail, the grasping fingers on the wings, hollow bones and flight feathers. Hence, the correct option is (d).
