  Two points of a rod move with velocities 3 v & v perpendicular to the rod and in the same direction, separated by a distance ' r'. Then the angular velocity of the rod is x \times \frac{v}{r}. Find the value of 'x' :

 In the question linear velocity is given, this can be related to angular velocity as follows

\omega _{rod}=\omega _{point}=\left [ \frac{v_{rel.}}{r} \right ];v_{rel.} bring the velocity of one point w.r.t. other.    

=\frac{3v-v}{r}     and ‘r’ being the distance between them.

=\frac{2v}{r}

Hence x is 2.
