Alkali metal dissolve in liquid ammonia to form deep blue solution which has free electrons or ammoniated electrons.

\mathrm{M}+(\mathrm{x}+\mathrm{y}) \mathrm{NH}_3 \rightarrow\left[\mathrm{M}\left(\mathrm{NH}_3\right) _\mathrm{x}\right]^{+}+\left[\mathrm{e}\left(\mathrm{NH}_3\right)_ \mathrm{y}\right]^{-}

On increasing its concentration, they group together and form metal ion clusters where the opposite spin electrons associate to form diamagnetic electron pairs. This will reduce the conductivity of the solution and changes the colour of the solution to copper-bronze colour.

Hence, none of the given statements is incorrect.
