While examining an organism for the presence of organic materials , organic compounds are found
As acid insoluble fraction
In acid soluble pool
Depends on the amount of tissue taken for examining
Depends on the acid taken
As we have learned
Examining a living organism for organic elements and compounds -
Take any living tissue, and grind it in trichloroacetic acid (CI3COOH) using mortar and pestle. Obtain a thick slurry and strain it through a cheesecloth. We obtain two fractions, one is filtrate on acid soluble pool, and second is retentate or acid insoluble fraction. Organic compounds are found in the acid-soluble pool.
