Here is the list of all the chapters of NCERT Solutions for Class 9 Science:
CBSE Class 9 weightage distribution of Science
Unit 1: Matter - Its Nature and Behaviour
Unit 2: Organization in the Living World
Unit 3: Motion, Force and Work
Unit 4: Our Environment
Unit 5: Food; Food Production
|Total + Internal assessment||80+20|
Chapter 1 - Matter in Our Surroundings: In this chapter, you will study the surroundings. you will study that the matter around us exists in three states which are solid, liquid and gas. You will also study evaporation is a surface phenomenon. Particles from the surface gain enough energy to overcome the forces of attraction present in the liquid and change into the vapor state.
Chapter 2 - Is Matter Around Us Pure?: In this chapter, you will study different types of solutions and mixtures which exist around us. This chapter will also tell you how to distribute two different types of solutions. You will also study different types of separation methods like crystallization, evaporation, etc. Mixtures can be separated into pure substances using appropriate separation techniques.
Chapter 3 - Atoms and Molecules: This chapter will tell you about different types of molecules and atoms. The chemical formula of a molecular compound is determined by the valency of each element. Clusters of atoms that act as an ion are called polyatomic ions. They carry a fixed charge on them.
Chapter 4 - Structure of the Atom: This chapter will make you aware of the structure of atoms. You will study that atoms are composed of protons and electrons. You will also learn about different models of an atom, which are proposed by the different scientist which are very important.
Chapter 5 - The Fundamental Unit of Life: This chapter will tell you about the organization of living organisms. You will also study what is a cell made up of? and what is the structural organization of the cell? and what they consist of? In NCERT Solutions for Class 9, you will get all the answers to those questions which are mentioned in all these chapters.
Chapter 6 - Tissues: This chapter will tell you, the tissue is a group of cells similar in structure and function. Whereas plant cell and animal cells are different from each other. Plant tissues are of two main types - meristematic and permanent and animal tissues can be epithelial, connective, muscular and nervous tissue.
Chapter 7 - Diversity in Living Organisms: In this chapter, you will study that all living organisms are divided on the above bases into five kingdoms, namely Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia. Basically, the classification of life forms is related to their evolution.
Chapter 8 - Motion: In this chapter, you will study motion. Motion is nothing but it's a change of position; it can be described in terms of the distance moved or the displacement. The motion of an object could be uniform or non-uniform depending on whether its velocity is constant or changing.
Chapter 9 - Force and Laws of Motion: This chapter is very interesting as from here physics portion of NCERT Class 9 Science starts. In this chapter, you will study different laws of motion and there are three laws of motion which are given by Newton, that's why these laws are also called Newton's law of motion.
Chapter 10 - Gravitation: This chapter will tell you about the gravitational force. Gravitation is a weak force unless large masses are involved. In this, you will get to know that the force of gravity decreases with altitude. It also varies on the surface of the earth, decreasing from poles to the equator.
Chapter 11 - Work and Energy: This chapter will let you know how to calculate the work and energy. Work done on an object is defined as the magnitude of the force multiplied by the distance moved by the object in the direction of the applied force. The unit of work is joule: 1 joule = 1-newton × 1 meter.
Chapter 12 - Sound: In this chapter, you will study about the sound which is produced due to the vibration of different objects. You will get to know that in sound propagation, it is the energy of the sound that travels and not the particles of the medium.
Chapter 13 - Why Do We Fall Ill?: In this chapter, you will study different types of disease like which are infectious and which are non-infectious. Infectious diseases can be prevented by public health hygiene measures that reduce exposure to infectious agents.
Chapter 14 - Natural Resources: This chapter will tell you the importance of natural resources and why we need to conserve them. Another important topic which you will study in this chapter is the ozone layer. As in NCERT solutions, you will get all the answers of intext questions also.
Chapter 15 - Improvement in Food Resources: And this is the last chapter of NCERT Class 9 Science, in which you will study about those improvements which are required to be done in our food resources.
