\rightarrow Steps of construction :

  1. Draw a circle of radius 3 cm and centre O.
  2. Draw a diameter of circle and extend it and mark point A 7 cm from the centre. So O\!A = 7 \; cm.
  3. Bisect OA and let M be the mid point of OA.
  4. Draw a circle with M as centre and MA as radius to intersect the circle at  T_1  and  T_2.
  5. Join AT_1 \; and \; AT_2.
  6. AT_1 \; and \; A T_2  are the required tangents.
