Solution:    We have , 

                   y=sin^-1(log _2fracx^22) 

          For            y to be defined  ,    fracx^22> 0

          and              -1leq log _2(fracx^22)leqslant 1

        Thus we have ,

         Rightarrow            xin [-2,-1]cup[1,2].
