If 3 is added to the numerator the fraction becomes 2/3. If the original fraction has numerator less by 6 than the denominator then find the fraction

   let originally numerator is x and denominator is y

So original fraction =\frac{x}{y}

Now according to question

x = y-6 -----------------(1)

and

\frac{x+3}{y}=\frac{2}{3}\\ \\ 3x+9=2y .....(2)

multiplying  equation (1) with 3

we get

3x=3y-18....(3)

Now equation (3)-(2)

-9=y-18

So y=9

So x=y-6=9-6=3

So the fraction =\frac{3}{9}
