Given  \rightarrow  \sin x+\cos y=1

                                x=30^{\circ}

\Rightarrow \sin 30^{\circ}+\cos y=1\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2}+\cos y=1\; \; \; (\therefore \sin 30^{\circ}=\frac{1}{2})

                                                 \Rightarrow \cos y=1-\frac{1}{2}

                                                  \Rightarrow \cos y=\frac{1}{2}

As we know y is an acute angle and it should be less than 90^{\circ} ,

hence, the value of y will be 60^{\circ}

\Rightarrow y=60^{\circ}
