The difference between the length and breadth of a rectangle is 23 m. If its perimeter is 206 m, then its area is:

Answers (1)

Assume the length rectangle is x and it's breadth is x-23 m.

Perimeter = 206 m    =>  2(x + x -23) = 206

 2x -23 = 103

2x = 103 + 23 = 126

x = 63 m

The length and breadth of the rectangle is 63m , 40m.

Area of the rectangle = 63x40

                                  = 2520 m2
