Homologous organs are those organs which have the same basic structure design and development but different functions and apperance.

Eg - Forelimbs of reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals.

The wings of a butterfly and the wings of a bat cannot be considered homologus because both the wings perform same function but their structure and apperance are not similar.
