The lines "cleanliness is next to godliness" was given by Mahatma Gandhi. For him,  cleanliness is the highest virtue worth inculcating. In present context of Corona it could be seen that this line has become our life style. We are spending our life wearing masks, using sanitizers and frequently washing our hands with soap. We are part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, also known as Clean India Mission. Through this mission, awareness regarding solid waste management is generated along with awareness against open defecation. Public toilets are created in public spaces so that people use them in emergency.  We have safaai mitras or sanitary workers coming in truck with a  song urging people to throw the garbage in the dustbin. Surely, this has now become a part of our lifestyle now. People are also being awared about dry and wet waste. Wet waste is biodegradable waste which needs to be dumped in green dustbin and dry waste is non biodegradable which needs to be dumped in blue dustbin. Surely the presence and placement of both green and blue dustbin has increased our awareness regarding biodegradable waste such as paper, peels of vegetables, fruits and non biodegradable wastes such as plastic and metals. This will bring changes to our lifestyle as today we are more aware about sanitation, hygiene practises and ways of dumping of waste material.
