 RADIATION-

 The process of the transfer of heat from one place to another place without the need of medium is called radiation.

So, radiation does not need any material medium to propagate.

It is generally effective when a body is a much higher temperature than the surroundings. In this the heat transfer is directly proportional to the fourth power of the absolute temperature.

Eg- transfer of heat from the sun to Earth
