2. It is to be established by the RHS congruence rule that  \bigtriangleup ABC\cong \bigtriangleup RPQ. What additional information is needed, if it is given that

          \angle B= \angle P= 90^{\underline{0}}  and AB= RP?

To prove congruency by the RHS (right angle, hypotenuse, side) rule, we need the hypotenuse and side equal to the corresponding hypotenuse and side of a different angle.

So Given

\angle B= \angle P= 90^0  ( Right angle )

 AB= RP.  ( Side )

So the third piece of information we need is the equality of  the hypotenuses of both triangles. i.e.

AC= RQ

Hence, if this information is given, then we can say,

\bigtriangleup ABC\cong \bigtriangleup RPQ.
