Fill in the blanks
The principal value of tan–1 √3 is _________.

Answers (1)

The Principal value of \tan^{-1} \sqrt{3} is \frac{\pi}{3}

Principal value of tan-1 x is \left (-\frac{\pi}{2},\frac{\pi}{2} \right )

Let, \tan^{-1}\left ( \sqrt{3} \right )=\theta

\Rightarrow \tan \theta=\sqrt{3}

As \Rightarrow \tan \frac{\pi}{3}=\sqrt{3}

so, \Rightarrow \theta=\sqrt{3}
