The Value of \cos^{-1} \cos \frac{3\pi}{2} is equal to

A. \frac{\pi}{2}

B. \frac{3\pi}{2}

C. \frac{5\pi}{2}

D. \frac{7\pi}{2}

Answers (1)

We have \cos^{-1}\cos\frac{3\pi}{2}

We know that,

\cos\frac{3\pi}{2}=0

So, \cos^{-1}\cos\frac{3\pi}{2}=\cos^{-1}0

Let  \cos^{-1}0=\theta

⇒ cos θ = 0

Principal value of cos-1 x is [0, π]

For, cos θ = 0

so,\theta=\frac{\pi}{2}
