## NCERT solutions for class 12 chemistry chapter 1 The Solid State:  The topics like solid-state, crystalline solids, amorphous solids and structural imperfections in the solids are discussed in the chapter. There are a total of 11 sub-topics in this chapter and also to test the student’s knowledge, there are 26 questions given in the exercise at the end of the chapter.

This chapter covers important concepts like Werner’s theory of coordination compounds, definitions of some important terms pertaining to coordination compounds, the nomenclature of coordination compounds etc.

IUPAC nomenclature of haloalkanes and haloarenes compounds, important methods of preparation for haloalkanes and haloarenes, chemical and physical properties of organohalogen compounds and its uses are discussed in haloalkanes and haloarenes.

This chapter starts with the IUPAC nomenclature of alcohols, phenols, and ethers. In this chapter for class 11, we will study the chemistry of three classes of compounds which are alcohols, phenols and ethers and also discuss the reaction for the preparation of alcohols, phenols and ethers. There are a total of 6 sub-topics and 33 questions in the exercise.

It is an important chapter for the class 12 students because this chapter holds a good part of marks in the CBSE board exam. In this chapter, we will study the organic compounds containing carbon-oxygen double bond (>C=O) called carbonyl group. Carbonyl group (>C=O) is one of the most important functional groups in organic chemistry.

This unit deals with organic compounds amines. In this chapter, there are 10 sub-topics which covers structure, nomenclature and classification of amines and also covers its chemical and physical properties and method of preparation of diazonium salts.

Characteristics and structures of biomolecules like carbohydrates, proteins and nucleic acid and hormones are dealt with in the chapter. After completing the chapter of class 12, students will be able to explain the difference between DNA and RNA and also describe the role of biomolecules in biosystem.

There are 5 sub-topics in the chapter which covers important concepts like types of polymers, explain terms like monomer, polymer and polymerization, classification of polymers based on their source and structure, cross-linked or linear and also discuss their properties.

In this unit, we will study the application of chemistry in three important areas -medicines, food materials and cleansing agents. There are a total of 5 sub-topics in this chapter which covers important concepts like drugs and their classification, drug-target interaction, chemicals in food and cleansing agents.
