NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths- Here we are providing NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths to help students in their preparation of CBSE final examination and in various National level competitive exams like olympiad exams etc. The class 7 maths contains 15 chapters which cover important concepts, theorems and formulas. All the chapters of class 7 Maths are very important for the higher classes, so we must be good at these chapters. And also all the chapters of NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths are basics of Mathematics and are important in our daily life calculations. These NCERT solutions for class 7 are formulated by our subject experts to facilitate easy understanding of concepts. These NCERT Solutions are the detailed explanation of each and every question of NCERT textbook.
Here we will cover NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths in detail. In these mathematics, the following are the chapters:-
The main chapters pf class 7 Maths with a brief outline of the topics are given below-
Chapter 1 - Integers: We already had an introduction to integers in NCERT Solutions for Class 6. Here in class 7, we will study the operations on integers and their properties. That is addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of integers and their properties.
Chapter 2 - Fractions and Decimals: In this chapter, we will study how to add, subtract, divide and multiply fractions and also about reciprocal of fractions. The NCERT Solutions of this chapter also includes the concepts of multiplication and divisions of decimals and how to handle the multiplication and divisions with multiples of 10.
Chapter 3 - Data Handling: This is an interesting chapter of Class 7 Maths. In our daily life, we come across many data, for example, teachers collect the marks of all students in the class. They will arrange it in table format for easy calculations and interpretations. Teachers will be able to calculate the highest and lowest score in the class, most frequently occurring score (mode), arithmetic mean of the marks, etc. In this chapter, we will study arithmetic mean, median and mode of collected data, representation of data using bar graph and definition of probability.
Chapter 4 - Simple Equations: In this chapter, we will study what is an equation, how to transform a term from one side to another side of the equation, how to solve simple equations. In this NCERT solutions of class 7 Maths, we will study the formation of some real-life problems using a simple equation. This is a very important chapter for our coming classes also.
Chapter 5 - Lines and Angles: This is one of the important chapters of geometry. The chapter introduces the concepts of lines and angles. These NCERT Solutions of Class 7 talks about parallel lines, what are intersections of lines and the different types of angles such as complementary angles, alternate angles, etc.
Chapter 6 - The Triangle and its Properties: This chapter is also an introduction to geometry. We will study different types of triangles which are equilateral, right-angled and isosceles triangles. In this chapter of NCERT Solutions for Class 7, we are going to study the properties of triangles also. At the end of the chapter, there is an important concept known as Pythagoras properties which we will use in class 7, 8, 9 and 10 and also in higher classes of Science and Mathematics.
Chapter 7 - Congruence of Triangles: Two figures are said to be congruent if they have the same size and shapes. In this chapter, we will study the congruent triangle and what are the different criteria used to check whether given triangles are congruent or not congruent.
Chapter 8 - Comparing Quantities: This NCERT chapter is very important not only for the exam but also for our daily life calculations. The chapter talks about the concepts of ratio, percentage, profit and loss, and simple interest. Mostly we talk about profit, loss, and interest in terms of percentages. There are three exercises to solve in the NCERT Solutions of this chapter.
Chapter 9 - Rational Numbers: Rational numbers are those numbers in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q cannot be zero. Every integer can be expressed as a rational number. Every fraction is a rational number but every rational number are not fractions since fractions contain only positive integers. We will study the concept of rational numbers and operations on rational numbers in this chapter.
Chapter 10 - Practical Geometry: The chapter talks about certain basic constructions using a ruler, compass, and protractor. The construction of the parallel line to a given line at some point outside the line and construction of triangles using the concept of congruent triangles. Construction of triangle using SAS, ASA, SSS and RHS criteria of congruence.
Chapter 11 - Perimeter and Area: In this chapter, we study about perimeter and area of the rectangle, triangle, and parallelogram. If we have to calculate how much sheet is required to cover a roof in the shape of a parallelogram we have to calculate the area of the roof. If we have to frame a picture in the shape of a triangle then we have to calculate the perimeter of the triangle to know how much length of the frame is required. There are many real-life problems mentioned in the chapter
Chapter 12 - Algebraic Expressions: In the NCERT Solutions of this chapter we study about how to form an algebraic expression, what are terms and factors of algebraic expressions, what is like and unlike terms, what is monomial, binomial, trinomial and a polynomial and operations on algebraic expressions.
Chapter 13 - Exponents and Powers: A very large or small quantity can be expressed using a base and power of the base. For example, 1000000000 can be written as 109. In this chapter of NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths, we will study about exponents and law of exponents and how to solve problems using the law of exponents.
Chapter 14 - Symmetry: This chapter introduces the concept of symmetry. The concept of symmetry will be used for designing different beautiful patterns. In this NCERT Solutions for Class 7, we will study about the line of symmetry, mirror images and also about rotational symmetry.
Chapter 15 - Visualising Solid Shapes: In our daily life, we come across the various plane and solid shapes. In this chapter, we will study how to visualize different solid shapes such as a sphere, cylinder, cone, cube, etc. We will study about the horizontal and vertical cross-sections of solids and also the shadow of solids. There are different interesting questions mentioned in this chapter of NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths.

3. A coin is flipped to decide which team starts the game. What is the probability that your team will start?
2. Draw, wherever possible, a rough sketch of
(ii) a triangle with only line symmetry and no rotational symmetry of order more than 1.
