          The die is thrown once. What is the probability of getting (i) A?

The six faces of the die contains : {A,B,C,D,E,A}

Total number of letters = 6

(i) Since there are two A's,

number of favourable outcomes = 2

\therefore P(getting\ A) = \frac{favourable\ outcomes}{total\ outcomes} = \frac{2}{6}

= \frac{1}{3}

Therefore, the probability of getting A is  \frac{1}{3}
