  A couple has two children,

 sample space =\left \{ (b,b),(g,g),(b,g),(g,b) \right \}

Let A be both children are females and B be  the elder child is a female.

(A\cap B)=\left \{ (g,g) \right \}

P(A\cap B)=\frac{1}{4}

P(A)=\frac{1}{4}

P(B)=\frac{2}{4}

P(A|B)=\frac{P(A\cap B)}{P(B)}

P(A|B)=\frac{\frac{1}{4}}{\frac{2}{4}}=\frac{1}{2}
