 (ii) P(1 or 3)

Total number of faces of a die = 6 

(ii) P (1 or 3) = P (not 2) = 1 − P (2)

= 1-P(2) = 1-\frac{3}{6} =\frac{1}{2}

Therefore, required probability P(1 or 3) is 0.5
