Given,

Refractive index of the glass \mu _{glass}= 1.5

Speed of light in vacuum  c=3*10^8m/s

 Now,

As we know,

Refractive index of a medium

 \mu _{medium }=\frac{c}{v_{medium}}    where  {v_{medium}} is the speed of light in that medium.

so from here,

{v_{glass}}=\frac{c}{\mu _{glass}}=\frac{3*10^8}{1.5}=2*10^8m/s

Hence the speed of light in water is 2*10^8m/s
