  • ABC is a triangle in which altitudes BE and CF to sides AC and AB are equal (see Fig.). Show that (ii) AB = AC, i.e., ABC is an isosceles triangle.

From the prevoius part of the question we found out that  :        \Delta ABE\ \cong \Delta ACF

Now, by c.p.c.t. we can say that :           AB\ =\ AC

Hence \Delta \ ABC  is an isosceles triangle.
