The extent of intermolecular hydrogen bonding in ethylamine is very high. Hence it is soluble in water. However, aniline does not undergo hydrogen bonding with water to a large extent due to the presence of a bulky hydrophobic group \left(C_6 H_6\right). Hence it is insoluble in water.
