2.12   Calculate the osmotic pressure in pascals exerted by a solution prepared by dissolving 1.0 \; g of polymer of molar mass 185,000  in 450\; mL of water at 37^{\circ}C.

We know that :

              Osmotic\ Pressure = \Pi = \frac{n}{v}RT

We are given with  :-  

                        Moles\ of\ polymer = \frac{1}{185000}

                       Volume, V = 0.45 L

Thus osmotic pressure :    

                                              = \frac{\frac{1}{185000}\times8.314\times10^3\times310}{0.45} = 30.98\ Pa
